Richard G. Stevenson III, DDS, FAGD, FACD, ABOD
Dr. Stevenson is a 1986 graduate of the UCLA School of Dentistry, and has received a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from UCLA and a Master in Education Fellowship from the UCLA School of Medicine. For 26 years he served the School of Dentistry with distinction, garnering numerous awards for teaching excellence and leadership. He is one of only 55 Board Certified Operative Dentists in the world, served as the Chair of the Division of Restorative Dentistry for 17 years, and has published over 30 papers, and several text book chapters on restorative dentistry, including implant dentistry, gold restorations, and preventing complications in restorative dentistry. He has lectured in Japan, China, Peru, Canada and the Philippines and is the Director of Stevenson Dental Solutions, Inc, a learning center for dentists in San Dimas California. He has also been honored with the UCLA Campus-wide Teaching Award, the Clinician of the Year from the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators, the Richard V. Tucker Award of Excellence, and the Award of Excellence from the Academy of Operative Dentistry. He is one of only a handful of dentists worldwide who currently places gold foil restorations, and has his gold inlay and only work featured in textbooks. His esthetic dentistry is also featured in books by Dr. Ed McLaren, DDS, MSD, MDT and the Essence of Beauty by the master lab technician, Chang.
